In the 1970's the Aluminium Corporation, a kitchen saucepan manufacturer, based in Wales contacted Chadwicks with a problem to be solved. During production the discs of aluminium, that were to become pans became scratched and stuck together. Chadwicks supplied them with circular discs of paper which kept the aluminium discs separate and unscratched. The Aluminium Corporation became Chadwicks biggest customer. In 1979 Ian, now the owner of Chadwicks had a bright idea to supply similar paper circles to Schools. They designed a range of brightly coloured gummed paper circles and squares and bright colours of tissue paper to sell into schools. By the early 1990's Ian and his son Alex wished to expand their team and decided to approach Philip Seagrave, Ian's son-in-law, Alex's brother-in-law to join Chadwicks.

The company moved into their present new factory at Drumhead Road in Chorley Lancashire by the mid 1990's. It was at this time that Ian now in his 60's decided to bow out gracefully from the day to day running of the company, but would keep a hands on role in a consultant capacity.

Alex & Philip now run the company on a day to day basis and head up the strong management and production team backed up by excellent customer service.

Chadwicks continues to innovate and expand its ever popular product ranges for both the education and retail markets through their diverse customer base both here in the UK and Abroad
